Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Legacy of Vader #12Although Disney canceled Adam Driver's Hunt for Ben Solo movie, it looks like Star Wars isn't done exploring Kylo Ren's story just yet. Thanks to the final issue of Legacy of Vader, it seems as though a brand-new Kylo Ren story has just been teased.
Coming from Marvel's new and canonical Legacy of Vader series by Charles Soule and Luke Ross (set between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker), the final twelfth issue has just been released. Featuring a major Force vision for the corrupted Ben Solo within Darth Vader's castle, the comics' ending teases a whole new dark adventure for Kylo Ren in the near future.
Star Wars' Legacy of Vader Finale Ends On A Pretty Big Cliffhanger
Legacy of Vader #12 ends with Kylo Ren confronting the light still buried within himself, confirming he'll never be able to fully destroy his past despite his obsessions. Following this confrontation with the Jedi Knight whom Ben Solo could have become, Kylo Ren is violently expelled from Darth Vader’s secret vault on Mustafar.
As such, the final page strongly suggests that Kylo Ren is falling toward Mustafar’s lava rivers, which is obviously a very strange place to bring this new Star Wars series to a close. However, we do get a mysterious closing tag which reads: “The Reign Ends. The Fall Begins. Kylo Ren… Will Return."
On the whole, this feels like a deliberate tease that feels far bigger than a simple reminder that Kylo Ren's story continues on-screen in The Rise of Skywalker. Instead, writer Charles Soule likely has another Kylo Ren story in the works, continuing the Supreme Leader's dark adventures before the events of Episode IX.
There's Plenty of Kylo Ren's Journey Left For Star Wars Tell
Beyond this final page tease, it's also worth noting that Legacy of Vader did leave some narrative threads unresolved, the biggest one being how Kylo regains leadership over the Knights of Ren.
At this point in the timeline, the Knights are being led by Tava Ren instead, raising clear questions about how Kylo regains authority over his former warriors before the events of Rise of Skywalker. As such, it's yet another solid piece of evidence that Soule has another Kylo Ren story in the works that has yet to be officially announced.

Beyond the recently concluded Legacy of Vader, Ben Solo’s time as the First Order's Supreme Leader remains largely unexplored. All in all, our fingers are definitely crossed for another dynamic tale starring one of the sequel trilogy's most fascinating Star Wars characters.
